Alongside this Qualifiers event RTME will be running an open feis open to all schools registered with An Coimisiun and also reassessments for existing teachers and assessments for future teachers wanting to become part of RTME.

Rialacha Na Feise. - Feis Rules.
- Entries will be confined to persons registered with An Coimisiun .
- Age will be taken as on 1st January 2004. Evidence of age may be requested.
- ***NEW***
Dancers will be expected to dance 32 bars of each dance. Dancers will dance consecutively without break in lines of 10 at a time. The first 2 dancers will
come in after the 8 bar introduction, with the next two dancers starting in on the last 8 bars (left foot) of the first 2 dancer's second step. The first 2
dancers quickly bow and walk to the very side edges of the stage and back to their original spots in the line of 10. This continues down the line of 10
dancers until they have finished. Those 10 then bow to the judge and the musician and leave the stage with the next 10 taking their place on the stage until
all the competitors in the dance have finished. ** There will be a stage steward counting in each set of 2 dancers at the beginner and primary levels.
- Beginners and Primary will be confined to Mainland Europe.
- Beginners Grade competitions are confined to dancers who have never won first prize in any competition for that particular dance. In
Beginner Grade competitions only basic steps may be performed.
- Primary Grade competitions are confined to dancers who have never won first prize for that particular dance other than in Beginners Grade.
- Intermediate Grade competitions are open to all dancers who have not previously won first prize for that particular dance in Intermediate
or Open Grades under the same or higher age limits.
- The Euro Trophy competitions 44,45,46, 44a,45a, 46a, are for dancers who have not won first place in that particular dance needed in
Primary. eg. Reel for under 10 and 16 to 20, Slip Jig for 10 - 13 and 20 - 30, Hornpipe 13- 16 and over 30.
- The Euro Premier Championships are for dancers of Intermediate and Open standard and those who are not eligible for the Primary Trophy
,open to dancers also outside of Mainland Europe.
- Music will be played at the recognised Mainland Europe speeds.

- Team dances (four hands and upward) must be preformed in accordance with the Coimisiun handbook “Ar Rinci Foirne”.
- Results will be announced after every second age group and also displayed in the hallway.
- Special trophies may be retained by the winners. Perpetual/Memorial trophies must be signed by the teacher (or a representative of the teacher
if the later is not present) and returned to the organizers after 11 months.
- Within limits specified in the Rules of An Coimisiun the organizers may at their discretion cancel competitions with insufficient entries.
- Objections must be lodged in writing within one hour of the announcement of the result of a competition accompanied by a fee of 15 Euro.
- Order and quiet must be kept in the hall, particularly while competitors are dancing. Doors will remain closed while dancers are performing.
- Dancers please do not travel up and down the stairs in heavy shoes as the floors are tiled which could cause unnecessary accidents and effect
the noise level. Carry your shoes to the practise room.
- Food and drink must not be consumed in the hall, neither is smoking permitted.
- Use of video cameras in the hall is not permitted and mobile phones must be switched off.
- Competitors must be in costume and ready to dance half an hour before their competitions are scheduled.
- The Feis organizers cannot accept any liability for injury or loss or damage to property while on the premises.
- The adjudicator’s decision is final.
- Motorists using the parking area do so at their own risk.
- Only Feis officials may approach the adjudicators during competition sessions.
- The lodgement of an entry will be taken to mean that a teacher and pupils understand these rules and undertake to abide by them.
- No refunds will be made.
Qualifiers Guidelines
- Dancers resident in Mainland Europe of Open standard are eligible to compete in the Qualifying Championships- Oireachtas Rince na hEorpa.
- Three adjudicators will adjudicate the Qualifying Championships.
- Qualifying for Oireachtas Rince Na Cruinne will be determined by this panel of adjudicators.
- In the case of Championships competitiors will dance 48 bars of music in the Reel and Jig and 40 bars in the Slip Jig and Hornpipe.
Championships will commence with the Heavy Dance Round.
- In all championships dancers will perform a choice of light , choice of heavy and a choice of set dance.
- All Set Dances must be on the list of authorised Set Dances.
- A dancer who does not complete his/her Championship will not be awarded a place at Oireachtas Rince na hEorpa.
